The workers of the project were awarded 'Youth Team of the Year' by the 4Children National Children's Stars Awards in June this year and some of the workers were invited to London for an award ceremony.

Jemma Logan, a young woman who is part of the YWP management committee referring to the Award said,

"I think they got the award because they encourage all young women to become confident and independent. They help them with different issues they may need help with, and make young women feel worthwhile and good about themselves.
The team gives lots of reassurance to young women from all backgrounds and offers lots of training and social interaction with others. The Project is unique and I believe the award was well deserved; it's about time that the Young Women's Project was recognised for all of its hard work and achievements."
